Overview

Canterbury Boys High School is a dynamic and highly successful NSW government high school supporting excellence in boys' education. We are situated in Sydney's inner west. 

Our achievements are evidenced by regular award recognition at local, state and national levels. This includes the school community receiving NSW Department of Education academic awards; staff receiving NSW quality teaching and public education awards; students receiving state and national leadership, vocational education and training (VET), Pierre de Coubertin, state sports and cultural awards and parents receiving NSW parent of the year awards through the public education foundation. We have also been recognised for art express selection and national sport representation. 

The school focuses on quality teaching and learning in a supportive environment that encourages boys to take responsibility for their own learning. Strong partnerships beyond the school provide a range of learning opportunities to ensure successful transition from school to university, further tertiary study or employment. We have specialised facilities and staffing personnel that meet the personalised needs of students. This includes a dedicated teaching and support staff and specialised positions such as our student support officer and our careers and transition advisors.

Canterbury Boys' High School is a public high school in New South Wales. The school offers courses for grades 7-12. The high school has a glorious history and a strong tradition. The school provides students with high-quality academic, sports, vocational and extracurricular courses, which can meet the curriculum needs of all students and tap their greatest potential. The school aims to train and guide students to achieve personal best results, improve life skills, become outstanding citizens of society, and be able to quickly adapt to this rapidly changing world.

Geographical environment:

Canterbury is 10 kilometers west of the Sydney Central Business District. There are large shopping malls, fire pipes, and restaurants from all over the world. Transportation and life are very convenient. The school is close to a large national park with complete sports facilities.
