Overview
Fairvale High School is a very large, dynamic, multicultural high school in the Fairfield area.
The school was established in 1969 and has an outstanding record in academic, cultural, social and sporting excellence.
The values of Fairvale High School are founded on the principles of tradition, care and innovation. The school’s supportive and caring environment builds learning capacity in a wide range of academic, sporting and vocational subjects.
While Fairvale High has achieved exemplary successes in these areas, the school also offers extension opportunities in mathematics, English, history and in the creative and performing arts.
The school has excellent facilities and resources, including a multi-purpose performing arts and creative arts centre, a state of the art hospitality kitchen, seven refurbished science labs, a new language centre, an indoor gym centre, a photography dark room, classrooms with interactive white boards and multi-media facilities.
Fairvale’s delivery of comprehensive, inclusive, student centred programs is achieved with support from highly skilled and committed teachers and intensive homework/tutorial centres.
Community relations are strengthened through outreach adult education classes and an active parent and community committee.

The school is known for its high-level teaching and provides students with a wide range of courses. The main values of the school are: tradition, care and innovation. The school has a team of excellent and experienced teachers with excellent teaching equipment and comprehensive welfare services, mainly providing mathematics and science. The study of professional knowledge in subjects such as visual arts, performance, vocational education and training, sports and personal development, and science and technology.
Geographical environment:
The school is located in the southwest of Sydney. The local culture is diverse and vibrant, including 133 people from different countries and more than 70 language groups; there are parks and green spaces near the school, and the environment is very beautiful; in addition, it leads to downtown Sydney and other places.
